Afhankelijk van de precieze indicatiestelling is dit potentieel dus een grote groep patiënten. De werkgroep schat in dat het mogelijk om ongeveer 20.000 patiënten gaat in Nederland, maar het segment waar deze behandeling voor zou worden goedgekeurd is kleiner. Het zou kunnen gaan om naar schatting 1.000 patiënten in Nederland die hiervoor in aanmerking zouden komen.
