Additional remarks Incidentie lokaal gevorderd hoofdhalscarcinoom is 1.600. Hiervan wordt ongeveer 70% behandeld met chemoradiotherapie (1.100), 10% wordt behandeld met cetuximab + radiotherapie (160), 10% alleen radiotherapie (160) en 10% studies of anders (160). De verwachting is dat ongeveer 800 patiënten van de patiënten die met chemoradiatie behandeld worden in aanmerking komen voor behandeling met avelumab.

Additional remarks In lijn met andere PD-1/PD-L1 remmers en indicaties voor avelumab. De behandelkosten per jaar zullen afhangen van de studieresultaten (gemiddelde dosering/behandelduur). Een chemo- en radiotherapie behandeling bestaat meestal uit 35 bestralingen = 7 weken. Hierna vindt consolidatie tot 12 maanden plaats. AIP Bavencio 20mg/ml voor flacon 10 ml : €924,26 excl BTW (april 2019). Uitgaande van een behandeling van 6-12 maanden zullen de kosten respectievelijk €42.053,89 en €84.107,66 bedragen.
