Substantiation	Het is een product met lange halfwaardetijd (47 uur versus 12 uur). Een recente studie bij ernstige hemofilie A toont afname van bloeding bij profylaxe met efanesoctocog alfa vergeleken met standaard FVIII profylaxe. Het is bij profylactische behandeling een alternatief voor andere FVIII concentraten of emicizumab, maar de indicatie voor efanesoctocog alfa is niet beperkt tot alleen ernstige hemofilie A. Het zou een rol kunnen spelen bij de on-demand behandeling, ook bij patiënten die reeds emicizumab gebruiken. Vooral de lange halfwaardetijd en slechts eenmaal per week toediening is de meerwaarde ten opzichte van standaard FVIII concentraten.
