Additional remarks In 2019 vonden er 951 niertransplantaties plaats, waarvan 501 (53%) met een nier van een levende donor (donatie bij leven) en 450 (47%) met een nier van een overleden donor (postmortale donatie). In geval van gunstige resultaten van deze studie zullen behandelaars eerst grotere aantallen patiënten willen zien, die met deze strategie behandeld zijn, alvorens dit te implementeren. Dat betekent dat er voor de komende 5 jaar geen significant gebruik verwacht wordt.
