Additional remarks Er zijn in Nederland 30 families bekend waarbij deze ziekte voorkomt. De prevalentie wereldwijd wordt op 1-9 op de 1.000.000 geschat. Dit zou voor Nederland betekenen dat 17 tot 153 patiënten mogelijk in aanmerking komen. In 2016 heeft de VSOP in een publicatie aangegeven dat er zo'n 75 levende patiënten met Fanconi bekend zijn in Nederland. Kan mogelijk meerwaarde hebben voor zeer weinig patiënten zonder donor optie. In Nederland is dat zeer uitzonderlijk, inschatting: 0-2 patiënten per 10 jaar.
