Substantiation Er wordt verondersteld dat Pretomanid alleen ingezet zal worden indien andere toepassingen niet werken. In Nederland zijn enkele multidrug resistant (MDR) patiënten en een nog kleiner aantal extremely drug resistant (XDR) patiënten. Voor patiënten met XDR is er niet veel keuze en voor patiënten met MDR iets meer keuze. Er wordt verondersteld dat delamanid in combinatie met bedaquiline even werkzaam zal zijn. Er is meer data over delamanid beschikbaar maar daarentegen zal het wel duurder in gebruik zijn.

Additional remarks In 2018 waren er 806 patiënten met multiresistente tuberculose in Nederland. Pretomanid zal enkel ingezet worden op het moment dat er geen andere opties zijn. Het verwachte patiëntvolume zal maximaal 5 á 10 patiënten per jaar bedragen.
