Additional remarks Cosentyx is momenteel beschikbaar voor de behandeling van plaque psoriasis (volwassenen en kinderen vanaf 6 jaar), artritis psoriatica en axiale spondylartritis. De fase 3 studie heeft een completion datum in augustus 2022.

Substantiation Er is behoefte aan een effectieve behandeling. Er zijn op dit moment twee open label trials: JAAD 2020 CAsseres RG et al. 20 patiënten: Waarin de eerste resultaten erop wijzen dat secukinumab mogelijk even effectief is als adalimumab. In de BJD 2019 open label studie waarin 9 patiënten worden behandeld heeft 2/3 van de patiënten een goed resultaat.

Additional remarks Optimale behandelduur, dosering en toedienfrequentie wordt nog onderzocht in klinische gerandomiseerde studies.
