Substantiation Er is therapeutische meerwaarde voor patiënten die vanwege CVRM geen ponatinib kunnen krijgen. Het lijkt verdraagzamer dan ponatinib, voor patiënten die falen op ponatinib is waarschijnlijk gelijkwaardigheid te stellen.

Additional remarks In Nederland zijn er ongeveer 1.700 tot 1.800 patiënten met chronische myeloïde leukemie (CML) in chronische fase (Ph+ CML-CP). Van deze patiënten ontwikkelt naar schatting 2 tot 16% de T315I-mutatie, een zeldzame mutatie die resistentie veroorzaakt tegen de meeste standaard tyrosinekinaseremmers (TKI’s). Er waren in 2022 veertien patiënten die binnen deze indicatie met ponatinib behandeld werden. Mogelijk zal een gedeelte van deze patiënten in aanmerking komen.
