Substantiation Cagrilintide is een langwerkend amylin-analoog dat is toegevoegd aan semaglutide. Het heeft daardoor een groter effect op gewichtsreductie en daling in HbA1c. CagriSema lijkt wel meer GE-bijwerkingen te hebben dan semaglutide alleen. REDEFINE-4 laat zien dat op gewichtsreductie tirzepatide effectiever is maar op HbA1c-reductie zijn ze gelijkwaardig. De verwachting is dat CagriSema niet een grote toegevoegde waarde zal hebben.
