Dit betrof 1.724 patiënten in stadium I, 921 patiënten in stadium II, 2.452 patiënten in stadium III (waarvan zo'n 55% in stadium IIIa en zo'n 45% in stadium IIIb), 5.062 patiënten in stadium IV en 31patiënten onbekend. Hier komen nog patiënten bij uit eerdere stadia die verslechteren naar stadium IV. Binnen een jaar is de inschatting dat dit 20% van stadium I/II bedraagt (529 patiënten) en 50% van stadium III (1.226 patiënten). In totaal bedraagt deze groep dus zo'n 6.850 patiënten. Van deze patiënten zal maximaal 65% een eerstelijnsbehandeling krijgen, dat neer op maximaal 4.450 patiënten.
