Substantiation Door het gunstiger bijwerkingenprofiel van BTK-inhibitors (zoals ibrutinib) en Bcl-2 inhibitors (zoals venetoclax) is er in de dagelijkse praktijk vooralsnog nauwelijks plaats voor PI3K remmers. Er zal naar verwachting met name concurrentie plaatsvinden met idelalisib. Welk middel de voorkeur krijgt hangt af van het toxiciteits-profiel en de specifiekere remming.

Additional remarks Het aantal diagnoses van CLL en SLL in 2016 bedroeg 781 en 139 respectievelijk. Bij een groot deel van de patiënten vindt op enig moment een relapse plaats. In 2015 kregen in Nederland 436 patiënten de diagnose FL. De inschatting is dat er ongeveer 200 patiënten met FL starten met een tweedelijnsbehandeling. Door het gunstiger bijwerkingenprofiel van BTK-inhibitors en Bcl-2 inhibitors is er in de dagelijkse praktijk vooralsnog nauwelijks plaats voor PI3K remmers. Er wordt verwacht dat er mogelijk 10-30 patiënten gebruik zullen maken van deze behandeling.

Additional remarks In de Verenigde Staten is een prijs bekend van ongeveer $13,000 (~€12.800) voor 56 orale capsules van 25mg. Bij en behandelduur van 11,6 maanden zou dit neerkomen op een inname van 706 capsules en dus ongeveer €160.000 per patiënt per jaar.
