Er is een kleine groep patiënten die, ondanks bestaande therapieën, last blijft houden van hypocalcemie en daardoor regelmatig moet worden opgenomen. Bovendien lijkt het calciummetabolisme gunstiger te verlopen in vergelijking met de huidige behandeling. Er zijn echter nog geen fase 3 data.
