Omadacycline is positief ontvangen het heeft als voordeel onder andere dat er weinig bijwerkingen door optreden en weinig interacties ontstaan met andere geneesmiddelen. Daarnaast is er door de FDA een waarschuwing afgegeven tegen het gebruik van chinolonen.
