Substantiation De Grass MATA MPL-behandeling toont in studies een therapeutisch succes van ongeveer 20–30%, vergelijkbaar met andere beschikbare immunotherapeutica. Het betreft een pre-seizoenale kuur van zes subcutane injecties, vergelijkbaar met Pollinex, en dus geen meerjarige behandeling via injecties of sublinguale tabletten. Over langetermijneffectiviteit zijn nog geen gegevens gepubliceerd, en ook prijsinformatie ontbreekt. De verwachting is dat Grass MATA MPL vooral concurreert met bestaande graspollenimmunotherapieën, zonder een duidelijk andere patiëntenpopulatie aan te spreken. Aangezien het aantal immunotherapiebehandelingen voor graspollen in Nederland relatief laag is, zal de impact op het totale zorgvolume waarschijnlijk beperkt zijn.
