Substantiation De Grass MATA MPL-behandeling toont in studies een therapeutisch succes van ongeveer 20 tot 30%, vergelijkbaar met andere beschikbare immuno therapeutica. Het betreft een pre-seizoen kuur van zes subcutane injecties, vergelijkbaar met Pollinex, en dus geen meerjarige behandeling via injecties of sublinguale tabletten. Over lange termijn effectiviteit zijn nog geen gegevens gepubliceerd, en ook prijsinformatie ontbreekt. De verwachting is dat Grass MATA MPL vooral concurreert met bestaande graspollenimmunotherapieën, zonder een duidelijk andere patiëntenpopulatie aan te spreken. Aangezien het aantal immunotherapiebehandelingen voor graspollen in Nederland relatief laag is, zal de impact op het totale zorgvolume waarschijnlijk beperkt zijn.
