Zorginstituut Nederland heeft de minister van Volksgezondheid, Welzijn en Sport (VWS) geadviseerd om de vergoedingsvoorwaarden voor SA huisstofmijten (Acarizax®) aan te passen. Dit medicijn kan worden gebruikt voor bepaalde patiënten met aanhoudende ontsteking van het neusslijmvlies door huisstofmijt. Dit medicijn staat al in het Geneesmiddelenvergoedingssysteem (GVS) voor de behandeling van patiënten vanaf 12 jaar. De minister heeft dit advies overgenomen. Dat betekent dat dit medicijn ook voor kinderen van vijf tot en met elf jaar wordt vergoed uit het basispakket van de zorgverzekering.
