Dit percentage omvat zowel zeer lichte vormen als de ernstige varianten van HS. Het is niet bekend hoeveel patiënten er zijn met zeer ernstige HS (1). De werkgroep schat een patiëntvolume in van ongeveer 850 patiënten met een maximaal volume na verloop van tijd van 1.000 patiënten. Er zal waarschijnlijk substitutie optreden (2).
