Substantiation In de gerandomiseerde open label ECHELON-1 studie werden 664 patiënten met stadium III/IV hodgkin lymfoom gerandomiseerd tot Adcetris+AVD of ABVD. Na een follow up van 24.6 maanden leidde Adcetris + AVD tot een significante verbetering van de 2 jaars mediane progressievrije overleving (mPFS) (HR 0.77; p=0.04; 82.1% vs 77.2%). Algehele overleving (OS) was nog niet significant (HR 0.73; p=0.20). In de stadium IV populatie zorgde Adcetris+AVD ook voor een significante verbetering van de mPFS (HR 0.71; p=0.023; 95% CI 0.53-0.96). Een deel hiervan is boven de 60 jaar, echter van de ouderen kan niet iedereen met chemo behandeld worden. Inschatting: maximaal 40-50 patiënten per jaar.
