Substantiation Dit is een combinatiepreparaat waar een brede indicatie voor wordt gezocht (acute suïcidaliteit, depressie/bipolaire stoornis en schizofrenie). Er zijn nog geen head-to-head vergelijkingen met huidige behandelopties (van verschillende indicaties). Voor medicamenteuze 'behandeling' van acute suïcidaliteit is op dit moment niet veel voor handen, wellicht ketamine (of andere sedatie), maar ook daar is geen vergelijking mee gevonden (1). Additional remarks Naar schatting heeft 1,3% van de Nederlanders een bipolaire stoornis. Dat zijn ongeveer 211.000 personen, waaronder vrijwel evenveel mannen en vrouwen (1). Hier geldt dat met dit nieuwe combinatiepreparaat een specifieke doelgroep binnen deze stoornis gezocht wordt, die is aanmerkelijk kleiner dan dit aantal patiënten. De uiteindelijke indicatie zal bepalen hoeveel patiënten er in aanmerking komen.
