Nadelen zijn dat bijna iedereen een cataractextractie nodig heeft en 50% glaucoom chirurgie nodig heeft. Tevens iets verhoogd risico op endophthalmitis 1% en ablatio, ivm grote toedieningsnaald 25G. De verwachting is daarnaast dat het korter werkt dan 3 jaar.
