Zal dan in Nederland voor het eerst als ICS beschikbaar worden; wel al beschikbaar als neusspray (Nasonex). Mometason (Asmanex) is in 2011 door het ZIN beoordeeld als onderling vervangbaar met overige inhalatiecorticosteroïden. Er zijn ook ICS-LABA combinaties die tweemaal daags moeten worden gedoseerd, zoals budesonide-formoterol, beclomethason-formoterol en fluticason-salmeterol. Mometasonfuroaat-indacaterol is dus geen volledig nieuw medicament met een nieuwe doelgroep, maar eerder een toevoeging op de huidige behandelopties.
