In totaal zijn er 83.220 patiënten met psoriasis die worden behandeld met een geneesmiddel. De meerderheid (72,9%) van deze patiënten worden behandeld met alleen lokale therapie en 13,2% van patiënten (10.966) met een systemische add-on therapie (biologic of apremilast) (1). De verwachting is dat het patiëntvolume mogelijk vergelijkbaar zal zijn met de aantallen van apremilast. De verwachting is dat er maximaal 600 patiënten in aanmerking zullen komen. Mogelijk zal dit aantal echter veel lager zijn aangezien er geen meerwaarde is ten opzichte van de huidige behandeloptie.
