Substantiation Op dit moment loopt de fase 3 studie nog. Fase 2b onderzoek toonde verbetering van EASI score (75% versus 15% bij triamcinoloncreme) en jeuk in week 4 bij 2 keer daags smeren. Ruxolitinib is al langere tijd op de markt en geeft lokaal weinig bijwerkingen. Lokale corticosteroïden zijn de eerste keuze. In het geval van bijwerkingen bij corticosteroïden zullen patiënten mogelijk overstappen op ruxolitinib. Dit zijn dus 85.000-170.000 mensen in Nederland. Afhankelijk van de ernst van de aandoeningen en de effectiviteit van deze creme zal hier een deel voor deze behandeling in aanmerking komen. Het is nog onduidelijk hoe groot dat aandeel gaat zijn mar de potentiële impact kan groot zijn.
