Substantiation Er zal concurrentie met de andere IL-17 remmers plaatsvinden. Doordat bimekizumab zowel IL-17A en IL-17F remt heeft het mogelijk een voordeel ten opzichte van de andere IL17-remmers. De meerwaarde moet nog wel aangetoond worden in de klinische studies. Het zal mogelijk ingezet worden na falen op een TNF blokker.

Hiervan wordt ongeveer 26% met een biological behandeld, 4.914 personen (1). Er zijn veel verschillende behandelopties voor deze indicatie. De verwachting is dat er mogelijk 500 patiënten per jaar in aanmerking zullen komen (2).
