De indicatie betreft allogene stamceltransplantatie specifiek uit navelstrengbloed, dit is maar een klein deel (enkele tientallen) van het totale aantal allogene stamceltransplantaties. Of al deze patiënten dan in aanmerking komen voor expansie is nog niet in te schatten.
