Current treatment options Na steroïden in 1e lijn is er nog geen standaard behandeling in 2e lijn. Diverse middelen worden toegepast in 2e lijn, waaronder ciclosporine, calcineurineremmers, mesenchymale stromale cellen (MSC), etanercept, antithymocyte globuline (ATG), mycofenolzuur, Infliximab, rituximab, ruxolitinib etc.

Additional remarks Jaarlijks worden in Nederland circa 600 allogene stamceltransplantaties uitgevoerd. In naar schatting de helft van de gevallen (=300) treedt enige vorm van Graft-versus-Host-ziekte op welke behandeld wordt met steroïden. Hiervan is naar schatting 50% steroïd refractair, wat maakt dat jaarlijks in totaal 150 patiënten theoretisch in aanmerking zouden komen voor behandeling met ruxolitinib. Daar er ook andere behandelstrategieën zijn, zal dit uitkomen op ongeveer 100-120 patienten per jaar.

Additional remarks Behandelduur loopt sterk uiteen en varieert van enkele dagen tot enkele jaren. Totale kosten voor een heel jaar op basis van 10 mg per dosering: €118,89 per patiënt per dag x 365dagen = €43.349,85. Gezien ook 5 mg kan worden gegeven zullen de daadwerkelijke kosten zich bevinden tussen de €21.700 - €44.000.
