Additional remarks In Nederland leven gemiddeld 1.500 mensen met ALS. Mogelijk komt een deel hiervan in aanmerking voor deze behandeling (1). Jaarlijks komen er ongeveer 500 bij en overlijden er ongeveer 500, waardoor het aantal stabiel blijft (1). De prevalente groep wordt inmiddels behandeld met dit geneesmiddel, van de incidente groep komt jaarlijks 1% in aanmerking voor deze behandeling gezien de specifieke mutatie waar dit geneesmiddel op ingrijpt (2) 500*1% = 5 patiënten per jaar.
