Additional remarks De ziekte van von Willebrand (VWD) is de meest voorkomende erfelijke bloedingsziekte in Nederland. Het ziektebeeld komt in lichte vorm bij ongeveer 1% van de algemene bevolking voor;1 1 op de 10.000 individuen heeft echter een ernstiger fenotype met klinisch relevante bloedingen, waarvoor behandeling noodzakelijk is (1). Patientaantallen zijn moeilijk in te schatten aangezien de klinische presentatie van von Willebrand zeer variabel is. Dus niet direct uit het aantal patiënten te extrapoleren. Profylaxe is nu slechts sporadisch in gebruik bij von Willebrand, maar is stijgend. Oudere studies toonden ongeveer 25% van type 3 op profylaxe, maar zeldzaam in geval van type 1 of 2 (2). Er wordt verwacht dat er maximaal 40 patiënten in Nederland behandelt zullen worden.

Dit is een AIP van €0,974 per IE wat gelijk is aan de AIP per IE van het andere beschikbare VWF-concentraat (Wilfactin®) in de markt dat uit plasma gezuiverd wordt. Alle zuivere VWF-preparaten zijn derhalve gelijk geprijsd.
