De aanvullende cardiovasculaire voordelen van Entresto bij patiënten met hartfalen worden toegeschreven aan de versterking van de peptiden die worden afgebroken door neprilysine, zoals natriuretische peptiden (NP), door LBQ657 en de gelijktijdige remming van de effecten van angiotensine II door valsartan.
