Van deze gemetastaseerde borstkanker patiënten zijn 225 patiënten HER2-positief.(1) Van deze vroege borstkanker patiënten bevindt respectievelijk 46% (n=6.160), 42% (n=5.666) en 12% (n=1.593) in ziektestadium I, II en III bij diagnose. Van de vroege borstkanker patiënten in stadium I, II en III is respectievelijk 498, 799 en 303 HER2-positief. Dit komt in totaal neer op 1.600 HER2-positieve vroege borstkanker patiënten. (2) Volgens klinische experts treedt bij 10-15% van de patiënten met vroege HER2-positieve borstkanker metastasering op (n=160-240). (3) Totaal zijn er dus per jaar 385-465 gemetastaseerde HER2-positieve patiënten. Van de patiënten die in aanmerking komen voor een anti-HER2 therapie, wordt aangenomen dat 90% een eerstelijns HER2-gerichte behandeling ontvangt (n=347-419), 80% een tweedelijns HER2-gerichte behandeling ontvangt (n=277-335) (4). Trastuzumab deruxtecan zal de concurrentie aangaan met trastuzumab emtansine.
